Your safari begins with your arrival into San Jose, you will then spend the next several days at Kids Saving the Rainforest Animal Sanctuary. You will be staying on the property, and have the opportunity to participate in exciting activities, including kayaking, horseback riding, turtle releases, and much more. You will see a variety of wildlife at this location and will also have the option to relax at the tropical pool near our lodging. Your next destination is the Manuel Antonio National Park, which will offer another unique look at a biodiverse habitat full of wildlife.

Costa Rican Itinerary August 8 th – 14 th 2026

    August 8th – Arrival in San José

    • Land in San José, Costa Rica
    • Settle into your hotel for a relaxing night of rest after travel

     August 9th – 11th: Kid’s Saving the Rainforest (KSTR)

    Three immersive days dedicated to conservation, wildlife, and adventure.

    • Early morning road transfer to Quepos.
    • Upon arrival, a KSTR representative will greet and transfer us to the sanctuary.
    • Once there, we will check into the Blue Banyon Inn nestled within the jungle – featuring three cottages with air conditioning, coffee stations, and ensuite bathrooms.
    • Relax by the beautiful pool during downtime, and wake up to the symphony of exotic birds and the escapades of curious monkeys.
    •  Volunteer with KSTR (a non-profit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating native species found near Manual Antonio National Park) and spend a half-day doing diets, feeding, and providing behavioral enrichment.
    • If weather allows include a night jungle trek.

     August 12th – 13th: – Manuel Antonio National Park Jungle Vista

    Two days exploring one of Costa Rica’s most iconic coastal regions.

    • Activities include a mangrove kayak and either water fall hike or turtle release based on
      availability.
    • A full day at world-famous Manuel Antonio National Park, and time on own.
    • Enjoy a private chef who will create delicious local cuisine during our stay.

     August 18th: – San Jose

    • Head back to San Jose

    COST: $4,300 and $5,100.

    * Credit Card Transactions will have a 3%  transaction fee. To avoid fees, you can pay with Cash or Check.

    NOTE: This trip is an active experience in very warm, humid weather conditions.

    PAYMENT POLICY FOR ALL SAFARIS:

    • As mentioned above, there is a 3% credit card transaction fee, you can avoid this fee if you pay in cash or with a check.
    • A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the cost of the trip is required when booking.
    • Final payment is due 120 days before the beginning of the trip.  

    CANCELLATION POLICY:

    • If you cancel your trip 120 days or less before your departure, your payment is NOT refundable.  This is why we recommend travel insurance.
    • If you cancel your trip before the 120 day mark, you may be eligible for a refund,  minus the deposit.
